Position Overview:

MVRCS is seeking dedicated Paraprofessionals to support our classrooms. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in education, no prior experience is necessary, and training is provided.

Paraprofessionals work under the supervision of both classroom teachers and school leaders to support instruction, manage classroom behavior, and maintain a productive learning environment. This role is instrumental in helping students meet their academic and behavioral goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with classroom teachers on daily instructional planning

• Support classroom management using school-wide discipline strategies

• Provide assistance during group and independent work sessions

• Reinforce academic and behavioral expectations, including posture, engagement, and attentiveness

• Lead small instructional groups in reading, math, writing, or spelling

• Monitor student progress and provide targeted support

• Grade assignments and assist students in correcting work as directed by the teacher

• Assist with supervision during arrival, lunch/recess, and dismissal

• Attend mandatory school events such as Back-to-School Night

• Participate in school-sponsored professional development

• Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned by school leadership

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to collect data, identify challenges, and develop appropriate responses

• Knowledge of or willingness to learn school policies and relevant regulations

• Willingness to work in a team-oriented environment and contribute to student success

This is a full-time, annual appointment with a starting salary of $35,000.
