Ellsworth Corporation, a global, industry leading distributor of specialty chemicals, equipment and adhesive manufacturer currently has a 2nd shift Production Lead opportunity (2pm-10pm) open. This role reports into our KitPackers Division located in Germantown, WI.

You will coordinate and monitor packaging employees and production status while also providing training to production employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Acts as a primary resource for staff to properly process Bills of Materials and signs off on the required quality documents
  • Trains production teams on machines, techniques, product mixing and/or materials
  • Stages plastics and materials at workstations
  • Assists Manufacturing/Packaging Engineers in developing new work instructions and provides group training on instructions as necessary.
  • Performs daily and weekly scale checks and train Filling Machine Operators IIIs to perform these functions
  • Reviews production records to ensure complete and accurate
  • Leads and participates in 5S and LEAN activities for the department
  • Provide backup coverage for Production Supervisors

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3 years of production experience required

  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • Forklift certification is required
  • Ability to work 2nd shift (2-10pm)
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office, emails etc.)
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and lead others to achieve production, quality and safety standards, including 5S
  • Lift and move up to 50 lbs
