About the role

  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8AM to 5 PM with early morning and evening hours on occasion for events and projects. 100% on‑site; not remote or hybrid.
    Level: Entry to Mid-Level

Who We Are Looking For

  • We’re looking for a people‑focused, tech‑savvy Recruiter & Administrative Coordinator to help us find great talent and keep our day‑to‑day operations running smoothly. In this mixed role, you’ll manage the full recruiting lifecycle—from sourcing and screening to coordinating interviews—while also supporting the business with administrative tasks, correspondence, presentations, data entry, and general office support. If you enjoy building relationships, have excellent computer skills, and love pitching in wherever needed, we’d love to meet you.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Recruiting (primary focus)
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements and ideal candidate profiles.
  • Post jobs across appropriate channels and maintain accurate, up‑to‑date requisitions.
  • Proactively source candidates, review resumes, and conduct initial phone/virtual screens.
  • Coordinate interviews, gather feedback, and support offer preparation and onboarding.
  • Maintain candidate records and pipeline metrics in our applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Champion a positive candidate experience and our employer brand throughout the process.

Administrative & Operations Support

  • Draft professional correspondence (emails, letters, announcements) and prepare polished presentations and reports.
  • Perform accurate data entry and maintain spreadsheets, trackers, and shared files.
  • Support meeting logistics (agendas, minutes, materials) and assist with office coordination.
  • Help with HR documentation and employee records while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Pitch in on special projects and cross‑functional initiatives as business needs evolve.

You Must Have

  • Experience: 1–3+ years in recruiting, talent acquisition, HR coordination, or a related administrative role (internships and campus recruiting count).
  • Communication: Clear, friendly, and professional written and verbal communication skills; able to build trust with candidates and colleagues.
  • Computer Skills: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams); adept at creating documents, presentations, and spreadsheets.
  • Tools: Familiarity with ATS/HRIS systems and calendaring tools; comfortable learning new software quickly.
  • Organization: Strong attention to detail, time management, and follow‑through in a fast‑moving environment.
  • Mindset: Service‑oriented, collaborative, and eager to help in other areas of the business as needed.
  • Confidentiality: Discretion in handling sensitive information and employee data.

Nice to Have (Preferred)

  • Aviation industry experience
  • Experience coordinating high‑volume recruiting or supporting multiple hiring managers.
  • Basic knowledge of HR best practices, EEO compliance, and structured interview techniques.
  • Data visualization/reporting (e.g., turning recruiting metrics into simple slides or charts).

Work Environment

This is a 100% on‑site role in our Newport New, VA corporate office. You’ll collaborate closely with hiring managers, HR, executive leadership, and operations, with occasional support across departments.
