Regional Coordinated Campaign Director at Texas Democratic Party – McAllen, Texas
About This Position
The Texas Democratic Party (TDP) is seeking highly motivated Regional Coordinated Campaign Directors for the Houston, San Antonio, and Rio Grande Valley areas. The Regional Coordinated Campaign Director will implement a regional strategy to engage and mobilize elected officials and key political stakeholders to do useful work elect Democrats. They will inform elected officials about how they can be part of the larger plan to flip the state, set goals and expectations for their role in that plan, and hold them accountable to the agreements they make.
The Regional Coordinated Campaign Director will also work with the Coordinated Campaign Director to construct and manage regional coordinated tables, to run a maximally efficient voter turnout program for the 2026 election.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a political plan for the region with the Coordinated Campaign Director and politically aligned groups.
- Build and maintain political relationships within the key counties in the region.
- Build a comprehensive list of elected officials and candidates in the region that the coordinated campaign will work closely with in 2026.
- Communicate with a broader group of political stakeholders about coordinated campaign activities to keep them updated.
- Traveling across the state as needed.
Qualifications
· Demonstrated political and campaign experience in Texas.
· Ability to work strategically and collaboratively across departments.
· Proven ability to write for multiple audiences and translate complex information clearly.
· Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities change rapidly.
· Fearlessness in building relationships and unconventional alliances.
· Comfortable working and interacting with stakeholders in an online environment, and in-person as needed.
· Must be willing to work non-traditional hours, including weekends and evenings when required
