The position is ideal for a seasoned fintech leader motivated by scale, complexity, and long-term value creation.Accountabilities:
- Define and execute the go-to-market strategy for embedded finance and Banking-as-a-Service partnerships, identifying high-impact opportunities across fintech, payments, lending, marketplaces, and SaaS ecosystems.
- Lead market mapping, segmentation, and competitive analysis to position the platform as a trusted, compliant partner in the BaaS landscape.
- Own the full deal lifecycle, including pipeline management, partner evaluation, due diligence, financial modeling, pricing, negotiations, and commercial structuring.
- Oversee deal desk operations to ensure consistent pricing frameworks, risk-adjusted returns, and scalable contract models.
- Collaborate closely with Compliance, Risk, Legal, Finance, Product, and Operations to assess new use cases and align opportunities with risk appetite and strategic priorities.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing business development team, establishing clear performance metrics, forecasting practices, and reporting dashboards.
- Represent the organization in executive-level partner meetings, industry events, and conferences, while ensuring smooth transition of signed partners into launch and scaling phases.
- 10+ years of experience in fintech, embedded finance, payments, sponsor banking, or financial services partnerships within a regulated environment.
- Proven track record of building and scaling business development or partnerships teams and closing complex, high-value commercial deals.
- Deep understanding of BaaS models, including onboarding, KYC/KYB, card issuing, money movement, compliance frameworks, and risk controls.
- Strong expertise in market analysis, revenue forecasting, and financial and deal modeling.
- Exceptional executive-level communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Analytical mindset with strong business acumen and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- MBA or advanced degree is a plus but not required.
- Competitive salary range of $210,571 to $280,000.
