In this role, you will serve as the technical authority for Local Area Network infrastructure, impacting secure and high-performance connectivity across various facilities. You will design, modernize, and optimize enterprise LAN systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to align solutions with organizational objectives. Your expertise will guide the implementation and sustainment of network architecture in hybrid environments, ensuring best practices and compliance with industry standards.Accountabilities

• Lead architecture/design efforts for enterprise LAN infrastructure, including switches, VLANs, and routing.
• Define enterprise LAN standards, policies, and best practices.
• Perform capacity planning and network performance analyses.
• Design solutions for both wired and wireless LAN environments.
• Ensure secure LAN designs with appropriate network access controls.
• Support the migration of legacy hardware and evaluate new LAN technologies.
• Integrate with wide area networks and cloud connectivity.
• Develop operational procedures and troubleshooting guides with the NOC.
• Maintain detailed design documentation for all network configurations.
• Provide expertise during procurement and vendor selection.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in computer science, IT, Network Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 8-12 years of hands-on experience in designing and managing enterprise LAN environments.
• Expertise in LAN technologies like switching, routing, and VLANs.
• Strong background with enterprise network hardware from major vendors.
• Experience with network design tools and ability to develop network models.
• Knowledge of network security protocols and access controls.
• Experience in high availability and redundancy design.
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
