Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to join our growing team in Nashville, TN. This role offers the opportunity for professional growth and advancement within our organization.Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance, including oil and filter changes, tire balancing and rotation, and cooling system flushes.
- Inspect and test drive newly delivered vehicles for damage and drivability issues.
- Accurately and efficiently complete work outlined on the repair order, ensuring all repairs are performed within the promised time frame.
- Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order, saving and tagging parts as necessary.
- Sell lubrication, safety inspection, and other related services while maintaining customer records.
- Communicate with the parts department to acquire necessary parts.
- Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs and keep up to date with technical bulletins.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment and take care of dealership-owned tools and manuals.
- Perform other related duties as required, including in-service upfits to customer trucks.
- Knowledge of and adherence to federal, state, and local regulations (such as hazardous waste disposal and OHSA).
- Possess a complete set of quality tools (specialty tools will be provided by the company).
- CDL (Minimum Class B with Air Brake).
- Volvo / Mack Certifications.
- Cummins Certification.
- Ability to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
- Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with odors present.
- Ability to inspect vehicles and determine required repairs.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary.
