Lead CMMC Consultant - REMOTE
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior CMMC Consultant - REMOTE. As a key player in our cybersecurity advisory team, you'll lead consultative engagements that shape the security protocols for our clients. You will apply your expertise in cybersecurity frameworks to advise clients on compliance, ensuring they navigate complex regulations effectively. Your influence will extend to developing robust documentation and implementing best practices in IT security. This role requires a proactive approach to managing projects while fostering collaborative relationships with clients. Your work will play a critical role in enhancing the security posture of various organizations, ultimately contributing to a safer digital environment.
Accountabilities- Lead IT system security consultation within CMMC, NIST, and other regulatory frameworks.
- Conduct gap analyses, workshops, and advisory consulting projects independently.
- Develop System Security Plans and supporting documentation for clients.
- Prepare and maintain IT Security documentation and artifacts.
- Provide guidance on IT security to project teams and clients.
- Identify and solve information security challenges.
- Review and edit advisory reports to ensure quality.
- Manage project tasks and priorities to meet delivery targets.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality products and services.
- Mentor team members on audit preparation and technical reviews.
- Establish strong relationships with clients throughout the engagement.
- Continuously develop professional industry knowledge and certifications.
- 3+ years of experience in government compliance (CMMC, FISMA, FedRAMP).
- Strong familiarity with NIST Special Publications 800-series.
- Experience with risk management frameworks and security assessments.
- Knowledge of virtualization and cloud technologies.
- Understanding of client-server architectures and traditional environments.
- Proficient in information security solutions and tools.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, business, or equivalent experience.
- CMMC certifications (CCP, CCA, or Lead CCA) required.
- Optional: Technical cloud certifications (AWS, Azure) or security credentials (CISSP, CISA).
