Assistant Estimator at America At Work – Cypress, Texas

Were looking for a motivated and detail-driven Assistant Estimator to join a growing civil construction team. In this role, youll support the estimating process for wet utility and underground infrastructure projects, including water, sewer, and storm drain systems.

Assist in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for wet utility projects (water, sewer, and storm drain systems).

Perform quantity takeoffs and analyze construction drawings and specifications.

Support preparation of bid proposals, subcontractor solicitations, and pricing comparisons.

Input and manage estimate data within estimating software, ensuring precision and completeness.

Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing and clarify scopes of work.

Maintain historical cost data and help develop unit pricing and production rates.

Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project reviews to better understand project scope and field conditions.

Assist with project handoff to operations teams by preparing detailed estimate breakdowns and documentation.
