The Retail Associate plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional guest experience by providing outstanding customer service, maintaining the bakery’s retail displays, and ensuring a welcoming and clean environment. This role is responsible for assisting customers with their purchases, answering product questions, packaging baked goods, and supporting daily operations of the retail area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet every customer warmly and create a friendly, inviting atmosphere.
• Assist customers with product selections, offering recommendations and answering questions about baked goods and merchandise.
• Accurately process sales transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system, handling cash, credit card, and other forms of payment.
• Package bakery items with care, ensuring presentation and quality standards are maintained.
• Restock shelves, displays, and cases to ensure products are attractively presented and readily available.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the retail area, including counters, shelves, and floors.
• Monitor inventory levels of retail items and notify management of low stock or potential shortages.
• Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene guidelines in handling products.
• Collaborate with team members and management to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Assist with special orders, events, or promotions as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership to support the overall success of the team and organization.

• Previous customer service or retail experience preferred.

• Friendly, outgoing personality with a passion for excellent customer service.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude.

• Basic math and cash-handling skills.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
