Lab Assistant at Winslow Memorial Hospital Inc – Winslow, Arizona

A. Draw blood on inpatients and outpatients as required

B. Perform ECG’s on outpatients and inpatients as required

C. Perform clerical duties such as charges, filing, keep track of all specimens sent to Reference Labs, answer phones, and help prepare specimens for Reference Labs

D. Assists in keeping track of inventory and ordering in house stock as necessary. Perform other duties as directed. Maintain patient confidentiality. Reports to Laboratory Manager.

Education:

Must have a High School Diploma

Phlebotomy course certificate-Required

Experience:

None required

Specific Skills:

Must maintain good rapport with physicians, members of other departments and members of the Laboratory

Good communication skills are necessary

Must be able to promote and ensure high quality laboratory testing

CPR Certification

Computer Skills:

Must have basic computer skills
