Product Analyst

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Product Analyst in the United States.

This role sits at the intersection of product strategy, data analytics, and business performance, supporting the optimization of Personal Lines products such as Auto and Property across multiple states. You will play a key role in analyzing product performance, identifying growth and profitability opportunities, and supporting pricing and segmentation decisions. Working closely with Product Managers, Actuarial, Underwriting, and other cross-functional teams, you will transform complex data into clear insights that guide strategic decisions. The environment is highly analytical and collaborative, requiring strong technical fluency and business understanding. You will contribute directly to state-level product strategy, helping shape how insurance products are designed, priced, and optimized. This is a high-impact role where your insights directly influence business outcomes and portfolio performance.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing product performance, supporting pricing and product strategy decisions, and delivering actionable insights that improve profitability, growth, and competitiveness across assigned states.

  • Monitor and analyze product performance across growth, retention, profitability, and segment mix
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and recommend actions to improve loss ratio and portfolio performance
  • Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytical tools to track key KPIs and business performance
  • Support development of state-level product strategies, forecasts, and performance targets
  • Assist in designing, testing, and implementing rating and pricing changes in collaboration with Actuarial teams
  • Compare competitive and internal pricing structures to assess market positioning and rate impacts
  • Validate data accuracy and ensure consistency across analytical outputs and reporting tools
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Actuarial, Underwriting, Sales, IT, and Claims to support product initiatives
  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear, business-friendly insights and presentations for stakeholders
  • Contribute to process improvements and automation of recurring analytical workflows
Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings strong analytical expertise, insurance or financial services experience, and the ability to translate data into strategic business recommendations. You are comfortable working with large datasets, cross-functional teams, and complex business problems.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Business, Economics, Statistics, Finance, Mathematics, or related discipline
  • 3+ years of experience in product analytics, pricing, actuarial, or similar data-driven roles
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Excel; experience with Python, R, SAS, or similar tools preferred
  • Experience working with large datasets and building analytical models or dashboards
  • Background in Property & Casualty insurance or personal lines products is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with product management, pricing analysis, or insurance filings is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to structure ambiguous business questions
  • Ability to communicate complex insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong collaboration skills and experience working across cross-functional teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality analytical work
