Job Summary:

This individual is charged with designing, coding, writing, testing, updating, and maintaining software for the customer. They support the customer in the development and the sustainment of dynamic live, virtual, and constructive training, test and exercise environments to better prepare space control warfighters. They must have critical thinking skills, as well as strong problem-solving abilities. They will maintain or exceed compliance with industry standards.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Writing, testing, updating, and packaging application codebases
• Conducting assessments on code baselines and comparing the structure(s) to published code standards
• Enforcing published code standards in the use of a CI/CD pipeline
• Overseeing configuration management of datasets deploys to multiple commercial platforms

Required Skills/Abilities:

• At least 3 years of programming / scripting experience in Python, C++, and Java, within an Agile development environment
• At least 2 years of full life cycle Software design and development experience on large/complex n-tier client/server applications
• At least 1 year of using Docker and Kubernetes to automate, scale and build resiliency into applications, as well as packaging the applications with dependencies into containers
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good experience in preparing IT technical document

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related technical field
• 3+ years ‘experience

Physical Requirements:

• The work is typically performed in an office environment, which requires normal safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes, or equipment.
