Position Summary

DDS Companies is seeking a highly motivated, experienced Safety Manager to support our Energy Services Division across the North-East, Mid-Atlantic, South-East, and Mid-West regions.

This is a remote, high travel leadership role that is fully integrated into the Energy Services team from project inception through closeout. The Safety Manager will not be based out of a single office. Instead, this individual will travel to active projects to provide direct field support, risk mitigation, compliance oversight, and safety leadership throughout the lifecycle of each job.

This position reports to the Director of Health and Safety with daily operational alignment to Energy Services leadership. This individual will also manage and coordinate third party or contract safety professionals to ensure proper coverage on projects that require full-time or supplemental safety support.

The ideal candidate is operationally minded, collaborative, field focused, and capable of managing safety across multiple complex projects in multiple jurisdictions.

This position will be required to perform the following functions:

Skills and Experience

Required

  • 5-10 years of progressive safety experience in natural gas construction (Transmission, Mid-Stream, RNG, Process Piping, LNG/CNG, Distribution or related) construction
  • Demonstrated experience supporting multiple projects across multiple jurisdictions
  • Experience with client-facing safety responsibilities and collaborative work with operations leaders
  • Strong background in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions
  • Strong organizational and communication skills; able to manage priorities in dynamic environments
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively (including overnight stays) throughout the East Coast and beyond
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs
  • High integrity, strong interpersonal presence, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement

Preferred

  • Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field
  • CHST, CSP, CUSP, OSHA 500 or equivalent certifications
  • Experience managing third party safety vendors
  • Familiarity with various safety management systems or platforms
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
