Requisition Number:R158488 Rad Tech Assistant (Open) How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare:The Radiology Technologist Assistant transports and/or escorts patients to and from diagnostic testing areas. They assist technologists with patient positioning, prepping patients, and documenting information within the EMR.

The Radiology Technologist Assistant

• Greets visitors/patients and facilitates meeting their needs and facility needs.

• Transports patients via appropriate mode of transportation to and from Imaging Services. Assists patients to ensure safe transfer between wheelchairs/stretchers and imaging equipment. Facilitates patient flow.

• Helps patient complete history sheets.

• Assists with positioning and prepping of patients.

• Notifies technologist of stat orders and changes.

• Assists with new employee orientation.

• Maintains cleanliness and neatness of equipment, patient areas and work areas. Stocks all necessary supplies and linens.

• Complies with infection control, radiation safety, OSHA standards, and practices safe operation of all assigned equipment.

What We Require:

Education: High School graduate or equivalent.

Experience: none

Life Support: AHA BLS-HCP required.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Good interpersonal, communication and employee development skills.
