The Quality Systems Engineer (QSE) supports and strengthens Dawson’s companywide Quality Program through proactive Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), and Quality Improvement (QI) processes. This position ensures consistency across all projects by supporting quality planning, documentation, and follow-through, while promoting the sharing of best practices throughout the company.

The QSE partners with Superintendents, Estimator/Managers (EMs), and field teams to prevent quality events, improve documentation consistency, and enhance performance through learning.

This position requires consistent field engagement, including a minimum of one week of travel per month, and additional travel as necessary to support projects outside of Whatcom and Skagit Counties, with a special focus on Dawson’s Alaska operations.

1. Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent military or construction experience accepted.
2. Background in aviation structural repair, maintenance control, or quality systems strongly desired.
3. Familiarity with USACE or NAVFAC QA/QC programs beneficial.
4. Experience in structured safety or quality frameworks preferred.
5. Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
