Responsibilities:

• Lead the purchasing department
• Obtain supplier quotes to support sales operations
• Issue purchase orders for new parts
• Negotiate supply contracts and delivery terms with domestic and international suppliers
• Evaluate and manage supplier performance
• Manage supplier claims and resolutions
• Participate in sourcing and developing new suppliers
• Drive cost savings initiatives
• Build and maintain supplier relationships globally

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 4 years of Purchasing experience within the Automotive Supply industry
• Experience buying metric fasteners
• Strong supplier management experience
• Experience negotiating supply contracts
• Experience using MRP systems
• Working knowledge of IATF/TS16949 requirements
• Experience working with international suppliers (Asia preferred)
• Ability to read technical prints
• Familiarity with ISO, DIN, ASME, SAE standards
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Experience with automotive manufacturing processes
• Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• German language skills preferred
• Travel up to 15%
