This role is responsible for leading financial operations and team members managing a diverse range of funds, including private funds, Qualified Settlement Funds (QSF), and government-allocated monies. The Manager will ensure efficient fund disbursement, accurate reporting, and reconciliation across multiple projects, while maintaining strict compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards. This position requires a detail-oriented, strategic, and collaborative professional who can oversee complex workflows, provide guidance to team members, and deliver high-quality financial operations. Accountabilities:- Oversee and manage the financial operations and disbursement processes for multiple projects, ensuring timely and accurate fund distribution.
- Supervise and develop a high-performing team, delegating responsibilities, monitoring progress, and providing coaching and guidance.
- Maintain and review accounting and program internal controls; document findings and recommend improvements.
- Oversee all disbursement-related activities, including checks, electronic payments, reconciliations, data management, and exception resolution.
- Collaborate with internal tax and finance teams to ensure proper execution of tax filings, 1099 processing, and monthly accounting procedures.
- Partner with external process partners and internal practice areas to support project goals and maintain compliance standards.
- Compile and report relevant financial data, track KPIs, and provide insights to improve workflow efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or financial management roles.
- Prior supervisory or team leadership experience.
- CPA certification preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other financial or reporting software tools.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of compliance requirements, internal controls, and financial reporting standards.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment and maintain meticulous attention to detail.
