About This Position
The Department of Mathematics at Elizabethtown College invites applications for an engaging and experienced Adjunct instructor(s) to teach one section of MA120 - Pre-Calculus on MWF from 9:30-10:50 am and two sections of MA251 - Probability and Statistics on MWF 12:30-1:50 pm and 2:00-3:20 pm face-to-face in Fall 2026. Classes begin on Monday, August 24th and conclude with final examinations the week of December 7th.
While face-to-face instruction is the preferred teaching method, candidates available for remote instruction via Zoom will also be considered. Please be advised that, due to payroll and administrative regulations, the College is only authorized to hire individuals who reside in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, Virginia, or North Carolina. Applicants whose legal residence is outside of these designated states will not be eligible for employment at this time.

Requirements:Job requirements include successful teaching of the course and meeting deadlines for Attendance Verification Surveys, Academic Progress Surveys, Grade Entry, etc. Instructors are expected to use CANVAS for posting of syllabi, course content, assignments, etc.
A Masters degree in mathematics or closely related discipline is required. Individuals with prior teaching experience (high school, College) is preferred.
