Since 2015, Nevada Behavioral Health Systems (NBH) has been providing mental health and substance abuse services to residents across Nevada. By collaborating with a diverse network of experienced behavioral healthcare providers, we have built a community-based care system that offers members personalized options tailored to their individual needs. In 2023, we rebranded as NovumHealth with the expansion of our services in Arizona, California, and Utah.

Position: Junior Accountant
Location: Las Vegas, Nevada – Onsite (This role is not eligible for Remote or Hybrid)
Starting Salary Range: $26 per hour
The starting salary range for this role is a reasonable estimate, with a goal to pay a competitive market salary focusing near the median of our pay ranges. However, final offers for all positions will be based on several factors such as experience level, education and certification, skills, and internal pay equity.

What’s the role?
As a Junior Accountant at NovumHealth, your primary purpose is to help manage the financial operations and accounting activities of the organization. Your strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and expertise in financial management will contribute to the overall financial health and success of the organization.

What you’ll do:
•Journal Entry preparation and assist with month end process.
•Must have experience with doing Journal Entries.
•Assist with month and quarter close process – including account reconciliations.
•Ad hoc analysis.
•Provide application support to billing, accounting, compliance, and other departments as needed, especially for urgent and analytical projects.
•Support interim and annual external audit.
•Additional Duties as Required

•Proficient in MS Word and PowerPoint.
•Advanced excel skills.
•Excellent strategic, analytical and creative thinking aptitude in both an independent and team environment.
•High sense of accuracy and detail oriented.
•Ability to follow procedures.
•Knows when to ask for assistance.

What you’ll need to start:
•Minimum of 1 year experience in an accounting role.
•Recent Graduates may be considered who have a 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA.
•Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred).
•Must pass drug screening and background check in order to start employment with Novum Health.

•Experience with journal entries, excel, and reconciliation experience preferred.
•Previous accountant experience in healthcare.
