Phlebotomist/Clinical Laboratory Associate

$2,500 sign on bonus

Job Summary

Join our growing laboratory team and play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care. Under the general direction of the Client Service Manager and the Director of Laboratory Services, the Phlebotomist / Clinical Lab Associate is responsible for collecting blood specimens and supporting essential laboratory operations.

This role combines hands-on phlebotomy (venipuncture) with specimen processing, patient registration, and laboratory data entry. You’ll ensure accurate handling and documentation of specimens to support timely and reliable clinical analysis.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection for patients
  • Accurately register patients and enter orders into the Laboratory Information System (LIS)
  • Process, label, and accession specimens for clinical testing
  • Verify and manage requisitions and specimen documentation
  • Maintain proper specimen handling, storage, and transport protocols
  • Support overall laboratory workflow in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Travel to other locations as needed to support departmental coverage
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, safety, and infection control standards
What We’re Looking For Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Completion of an accredited Phlebotomy Training Program preferred
Experience
  • Minimum 1 year of phlebotomy experience preferred
  • Previous laboratory experience and computer/data entry experience preferred
Licensure/Certification
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred
