Personal Care Assistant – Memory Care
Location: Frankfort / Lawrenceburg, KY Area
At Golden Years we believe that respect, kindness, empathy, community, and care are at the heart of everything we do. We’re seeking a dedicated Life Enrichment Specialist (female caregiver preferred) to bring these values to life while supporting a wonderful client in the home.
About the Role
You’ll play a meaningful role in helping our client maintain independence, dignity, and joy in daily living. Client is upbeat, enjoy friendly company, and love sitting outside on the porch. Your presence and reliability will make a real difference in comfort, safety, and sense of companionship.
Responsibilities
• Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support
• Assist with daily living activities including bathing, cooking, and light housekeeping
• Support mobility with walker supervision and gentle encouragement during therapy efforts
• Escort client to doctor’s appointments in Frankfort and Lawrenceburg as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe home environment
• Ensure medication reminders and general wellness monitoring
• Create moments of joy through conversation, outdoor time, and nurturing activities
Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for someone who embodies patience, positivity, and dependability. The ideal caregiver will:
• Have experience in Memory Care and senior companionship
• Communicate clearly in English
• Be kind, lighthearted, and non-bossy
• Be comfortable working in a clean old home
• Be attentive to safety and gentle mobility assistance
Requirements
• Reliable transportation (for errands and appointments)
• Prior experience with senior care and memory support
• Ability to assist safely with bathing and home tasks
• Female caregiver preferred (client comfort preference)
• Must be dependable and trustworthy
Compensation & Schedule
• Pay: $18.00 per hour
• Schedule: Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm Saturday 9:00am to 2:00pm
