Associate Therapist-Hybrid (Santa Monica, California) at Stella Mental Health – Santa Monica, California

We are seeking a full-time Associate Therapist -Licensed in California to join our team of dedicated professionals.

As a therapist at Stella Mental Health, you will work closely with our interdisciplinary team of professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, dietitians, occupational therapists, and yoga instructors, to develop and implement personalized treatment plans for each patient. You will have the opportunity to provide therapy for patients in all levels of care (PHP, IOP, and OP) as well as work with patients using TMS and ketamine. We are looking for a therapist to conduct individual therapy. Our current therapists specialize in an array of orientations, ranging from psychodynamic to EMDR to CBT, so we do not have a particular preference for therapeutic orientation for the therapist we hire in this role.

The ideal candidate will be a compassionate and skilled therapist who has experience working with patients with mental health disorders and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. A strong interest in neuromodulation and psychedelic medicine is preferred.

Responsibilities include:

• 1:1 psychotherapy, with some groups
• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments
• Develop comprehensive treatment plans with proper documentation

• Collaborate with clinic personnel and outside referral sources
• Conduct peer reviews with the utilization review team when needed

Qualifications:

• Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW), or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC)
• Active California state registration: Required
• Experience with treatment-resistant depression: Preferred
• Experience with PTSD and complex trauma: Preferred
• This is a full-time hybrid role
• Three days remote (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays)
• Two days onsite at our Santa Monica, CA clinic (Tuesdays and Fridays)
• Required hours for this role are 11am -7pm Pacific time (Monday - Friday)
