RN ST: RN Staff at Willis-Knighton Health System – Shreveport, Louisiana

The RN we are seeking will be performing specialized peri-operative nursing activities in the preoperative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases of the surgical experience for children to geriatric patients. You will need to be flexible and diverse working as a circulating nurse and possibly as a scrub nurse. Teamwork, basic leadership and assessment skills are key to this position. You will need to be able to perform effectively in stressful and emergency situations. You will need to consistently demonstrate knowledge of anatomy, physiology, operative techniques, critical thinking skills, and knowledge of perioperative equipment and instrumentation. Previous operative experience and certification in operating room nursing (CNOR) is preferred, but we will train the new graduate who exhibits the willingness to learn and the maturity to train in this fast-paced environment. Call will be required for this position. Orientation will be provided based on your experience and level of comfort.
