Position Overview:
Antioch University invites applications for a student-centered clinical faculty member to lead our Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics (MSND) program. This is a 12-month, full-time faculty position within the Graduate School of Nursing and Health Professions, reporting directly to the Dean. We seek a practitioner-scholar who possesses a deep commitment to social justice and a proven aptitude for online pedagogy. Clinical faculty engage in student learning and institutional citizenship activities, but are not required to engage in scholarship or service. The successful candidate should be qualified to teach MSND program electives and core courses, advanced clinical practicum, and oversee master's projects. The ideal candidate will be a skilled mentor capable of fostering an inclusive online learning environment that prepares students for the complexities of professional clinical practice.
The Program Director holds primary authority and accountability for the strategic management and academic integrity of the program, including curricular innovation, overseeing and coordinating admissions and student success. The Director will dedicate a minimum of 30% of their effort to program leadership. The successful candidate will be expected to integrate health equity throughout the curriculum and advance the School's commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, empowering students to examine healthcare through a social justice lens.

Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the staff member is regularly required to sit, stand, use hands and fingers, and talk or hear. This is an active position, involving walking, climbing, lifting, stooping, and bending in the accomplishment of duties. Must be able to lift in excess of 25 pounds. Must be able to work occasionally in poor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain or snow. - Recommending and coordinating improvements to curricula, degree requirements, and program offerings to ensure academic excellence and market relevance.
- Convening and leading regular meetings of the program faculty to foster collaboration and continuous program improvement.
- Preparing the master schedule of classes and managing faculty course assignments in coordination with the Dean.
- Evaluating and recommending course substitutions, transfer credits, and independent study requests.
- Leading the recruitment, vetting, and recommendation of qualified adjunct faculty to enhance the team.
- Mentoring faculty and ensuring high standards of engagement in student learning across the program.
- Overseeing the admissions process and coordinating efforts to meet enrollment goals.
- Providing high-level advising and mentorship to ensure student support, satisfaction, and professional development.
- Maintaining and processing student records and ensuring students are consistently informed of their academic standing and progress toward degree completion.
- Implementing and upholding the policies of the unit, the School, and the University to ensure operational consistency.
- Representing the program's interests on School-wide councils, committees, and other governance bodies.
- Additional duties as delegated by the Dean to support the mission of the School and University.
Required Qualifications:
- While a doctoral degree from a regionally accredited institution is preferred, a Master's degree in Nutrition, Applied Health Sciences, Public Health, or a related field, plus a minimum of five years of professional experience would serve as a qualified equivalency
- Unencumbered, current registered dietitian in good standing with the Commission on Dietetic Registration
- A minimum of (3) three years' experience teaching in higher education including curriculum, development, and assessment
- Online teaching and mentoring
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice
Preferred Qualifications:
- ACEND accreditation experience
- Membership to Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, local professional organizations
- Remote ready
