This role provides an exciting opportunity to shape and lead enterprise-wide data strategy while maintaining hands-on involvement in building scalable, reliable data solutions. As a key technical leader, you will define architecture patterns, governance standards, and data platform strategies that enable analytics, AI/ML, operational systems, and business intelligence. You will collaborate closely with executives, engineering, analytics, security, and product teams to ensure data is accurate, secure, and optimized as a strategic asset. The position combines strategic vision with technical execution and offers significant influence over long-term technology decisions. It is ideal for professionals passionate about modern data architectures and creating systems that support high-impact business outcomes.

Accountabilities:
  • Define and evolve enterprise data architecture aligned with business strategy, including canonical data models, integration patterns, and domain boundaries
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehouses, and lakehouse solutions for core business domains
  • Establish and enforce standards for data modeling, schema evolution, incremental loading, and performance optimization
  • Implement data quality, testing, and observability frameworks to ensure reliable, consistent data delivery
  • Lead modernization initiatives, cloud migrations, and adoption of emerging capabilities such as real-time analytics and AI/ML platforms
  • Partner with cross-functional teams on data contracts, governance frameworks, privacy, and compliance strategies
  • Mentor engineers and architects, providing guidance on best practices and architecture decisions
  • Drive enterprise-wide adoption of data standards, governance, and reusable architectural patterns

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in data engineering, architecture, or platform engineering
  • 5+ years designing enterprise-scale cloud data architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Expertise in data warehousing, lakehouse architecture, distributed processing, streaming, and enterprise data modeling (Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault, or domain-driven design)
  • Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, and security architecture
  • Experience leading cross-functional architecture initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Preferred: deep expertise with GCP services, BigQuery performance optimization, BI consumption patterns, AI/ML platform exposure, and cloud cost management
  • Industry certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect, GCP Professional Architect) are a plus
