Business Analyst at VentureDive – Karachi, Sindh

Job Brief:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst who will primarily work on data and dashboard-driven projects, including reporting solutions, business intelligence dashboards, data analysis initiatives, and data integration projects. The role requires hands-on involvement in defining dashboard requirements, KPIs, data mapping, and working closely with data engineers and BI developers to deliver data-driven solutions. Having experience of working on application development projects, including requirement gathering, user stories, and functional documentation, will be considered an added advantage.

The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, experience working with data teams, and the ability to understand business problems and convert them into data and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
Requirement Gathering & Analysis

• Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders
• Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirement sessions
• Analyze business processes and identify business related needs
• Translate business requirements into functional requirements
• Identify data sources, data flow, and data dependencies
• Perform gap analysis

Data & Analytics Projects

• Define dashboard and reporting requirements
• Create data mapping documents
• Define KPIs, metrics, and business calculations
• Work on data migration and data integration requirements
• Document data transformation rules and business logic
• Hands-on at data warehouse and BI projects
• Work with data engineers, BI developers, and data analysts

Documentation

• Business Requirement Documents (BRD)
• Functional Requirement Documents (FRD)
• Data Mapping Documents
• User Stories and Acceptance Criteria
• Process Flows and Data Flow Diagrams
• Use Cases
• Report & Dashboard Specifications
• Requirement Traceability Matrix

Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate between business teams and technical/data teams
• Conduct requirement walkthroughs and solution discussions
• Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing)
• Manage requirement changes and change requests
• Ensure stakeholder alignment and requirement sign-off

Testing & Validation

• Support data validation and reconciliation
• Validate reports and dashboards against requirements
• Assist QA and UAT teams

Required Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience in requirement gathering and documentation
• Understanding of data analysis and reporting
• Experience working on data, BI, or analytics projects
• Understanding of data mapping and data flow
• Experience with dashboards and reporting tools
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Experience with Agile / Scrum methodology
• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
• Good knowledge of Excel

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related field
• 2-5 years of experience as Business Analyst
• Experience in data, reporting, BI, or analytics projects preferred
