Position Summary

The Sales Coordinator at the Provo Marriott Hotel & Conference Center provides administrative and operational support to the Sales & Marketing team to ensure efficient execution of group, corporate, and event sales initiatives. This role serves as a key liaison between the sales team, hotel departments, and clients, helping to deliver exceptional service and drive revenue growth for the hotel and conference center.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Administrative Support

  • Provide administrative support to the Director of Sales and Sales Managers
  • Prepare and distribute contracts, proposals, Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), and group resumes
  • Maintain accurate sales files, databases, and CRM systems (e.g., CI/TY, Delphi, or similar)
  • Assist with group room block management and coordination with Revenue Management

Client & Event Coordination

  • Serve as a point of contact for group clients before and after contract execution
  • Coordinate site inspections, client visits, and familiarization tours
  • Communicate client needs to Operations, Banquets, Front Desk, and other departments
  • Assist with group billing, deposits, and post-event follow-up

Sales & Marketing Support

  • Assist with RFP responses and proposal preparation
  • Track sales activities, generate reports, and support forecasting efforts
  • Support marketing initiatives, including promotional materials and event planning
  • Attend weekly sales meetings and assist with meeting preparation and documentation

Customer Service

  • Ensure timely, professional communication with clients and internal teams
  • Uphold Marriott brand standards and service excellence at all times
  • Assist in resolving client concerns to ensure satisfaction and repeat business

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1–2 years of administrative, hotel, or sales support experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Preferred

  • Previous hotel sales or hospitality experience
  • Familiarity with Marriott systems (CI/TY, MARSHA, Delphi)
  • Experience supporting group sales or conference/event operations

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods

The pay range for this role is:
20 - 22 USD per hour(Provo Marriott)
