Position Summary
The Sales Coordinator at the Provo Marriott Hotel & Conference Center provides administrative and operational support to the Sales & Marketing team to ensure efficient execution of group, corporate, and event sales initiatives. This role serves as a key liaison between the sales team, hotel departments, and clients, helping to deliver exceptional service and drive revenue growth for the hotel and conference center.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Administrative Support
- Provide administrative support to the Director of Sales and Sales Managers
- Prepare and distribute contracts, proposals, Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), and group resumes
- Maintain accurate sales files, databases, and CRM systems (e.g., CI/TY, Delphi, or similar)
- Assist with group room block management and coordination with Revenue Management
Client & Event Coordination
- Serve as a point of contact for group clients before and after contract execution
- Coordinate site inspections, client visits, and familiarization tours
- Communicate client needs to Operations, Banquets, Front Desk, and other departments
- Assist with group billing, deposits, and post-event follow-up
Sales & Marketing Support
- Assist with RFP responses and proposal preparation
- Track sales activities, generate reports, and support forecasting efforts
- Support marketing initiatives, including promotional materials and event planning
- Attend weekly sales meetings and assist with meeting preparation and documentation
Customer Service
- Ensure timely, professional communication with clients and internal teams
- Uphold Marriott brand standards and service excellence at all times
- Assist in resolving client concerns to ensure satisfaction and repeat business
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–2 years of administrative, hotel, or sales support experience preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Preferred
- Previous hotel sales or hospitality experience
- Familiarity with Marriott systems (CI/TY, MARSHA, Delphi)
- Experience supporting group sales or conference/event operations

The pay range for this role is:
20 - 22 USD per hour(Provo Marriott)
