Job Summary:

The Business Support Intern will provide administrative, technical, and operational support across office-based functions such as IT, Human Resources, Operations, or Workforce Development. This role is designed to expose interns to professional business environments, internal processes, and cross-functional collaboration while supporting day-to-day activities under the supervision of experienced staff.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Administrative & Team Support

  • Support assigned teams (IT, HR, Operations, Workforce, or related functions) with day-to-day administrative and coordination tasks.
  • Assist with scheduling, meeting preparation, and follow-up activities as needed.

Data Entry & records Management

  • Assist with data entry, document organization, and maintenance of internal records.
  • Help maintain internal systems, trackers, and databases, including training records, asset lists, and onboarding checklists.

Reporting & Communication Support

  • Support the preparation of reports, presentations, and internal communications.
  • Assist in compiling data and formatting materials for internal use.
  • Assist with process documentation, standard operating procedure (SOP) updates, and workflow improvement initiatives.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve efficiency and organization within assigned teams.

Additional responsibilities and tasks as required to support the organization's goals and adapt to evolving business needs.

Attributes/Abilities:

  • Must have a satisfactory background check.
  • Must have reliable transportation and possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Interpersonal and social skills; strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and attention to detail.

Experience and Education:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a business, information systems, IT, HR, or related academic program.

Physical Requirements:

  • This is an office desk position with no significant physical exertion required.
  • Must be willing and able to access each department at the organization's facilities with occasional travel to different business units as needed.
