Warehouse Maintenance and Cleaning Associate Job Summary

Full-time | Monday-Friday | 1st Shift, 6:00am - 2:30pm, or until completion

The Warehouse Maintenance and Cleaning Associate is an essential part of our warehouse operation and plays a key role in ensuring other team members are able to complete their work safely and efficiently, as well as sustaining high morale and job satisfaction by keeping the warehouse clean and organized. This position is responsible for performing routine general building and equipment maintenance, and cleaning tasks in the warehouse areas of operation.

Warehouse Maintenance and Cleaning Associate Qualifications

• Warehouse, forklift, and cleaning experience a plus
• Ability to proficiently operate a variety of powered industrial trucks, and able to complete in-house forklift & safety program
• High degree of attention to detail
• Experience using hand tools
• Able to complete work with minimal amount of supervision

Warehouse Maintenance and Cleaning Associate Duties

• Utilize a forklift to move product, pallets and equipment as needed
• Respond quickly to cleaning situations that increase associate risk for slips, trips, or falls
• Build rapport with team members and promote cleanliness and organizational goals
• Ensure facility has adequate tools and resources available for associates
• Address tipped pallets in warehouse racking
• Ensure aisles are kept clean of debris and obstacles that hinder equipment traffic
• Operate floor scrubbing machine
• Address spilled product situations
• Aid in collecting and/or repairing damaged product
• Ensure excess shrink wrap is cut from pallets and product is being stored neatly
• Routinely sweep, mop, dust, sanitize, and empty trash cans in various work areas
• Manage area dedicated to storing damaged pallets
• Ensure warehouse equipment is being kept in good condition
• Perform grounds maintenance tasks such as landscaping, cleaning debris from exterior dock areas, washing and drying windows, and snow blowing and salting
