As a Medical Animal Keeper, you play a critical role in supporting veterinary and medical teams by ensuring animals are safely handled, transported, and cared for during clinical processes.
This position is ideal for individuals who are dependable, attentive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced animal care environment where safety, sanitation, and teamwork are essential.
What You’ll Do
Animal Handling & Transport

• Safely move animals between kennels, exam areas, and surgery
• Assist veterinary staff with animal restraint during exams and procedures
• Follow all safety protocols when handling animals of varying sizes and temperaments

Medical Support

• Prepare animals for exams, treatments, and procedures
• Observe animals for visible signs of distress or discomfort and report concerns promptly
• Support veterinary staff in maintaining efficient clinical workflow

Cleaning & Sanitation

• Clean and disinfect cages, carriers, equipment, and medical areas
• Follow strict infection-control and biosecurity protocols to prevent disease spread

Supplies & Logistics

• Restock medical and operational supplies as needed
• Transport materials, equipment, and animals throughout the facility
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of medical and treatment areas

Previous experience in animal care or veterinary environments is preferred.
Work Environment
This position operates in an animal shelter and medical setting. Employees may be exposed to:

Maintaining a safe, clean, and controlled environment is essential at all times.
