Hiring Rate $60,000.00

Schedule At least 40 hours per week

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and strategic Gift Manager to lead La Nube’s membership and individual giving efforts. This role is responsible for building, growing, and sustaining a comprehensive contributed revenue program that includes multi-tier memberships, annual giving, and gift cultivation.

The Gift Manager plays a central role in driving earned and contributed revenue, strengthening community relationships, and building a loyal base of supporters invested in La Nube’s mission. You will manage a dynamic membership program while also serving as a frontline fundraiser—identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding corporate and individual donors.

This position works closely with Development, Leadership, Guest Services, and program staff to integrate philanthropy into all aspects of the La Nube experience. The ideal candidate will have a personal dedication to the mission and vision of La Nube, believing in our ability to create and sustain an impactful footprint in the philanthropic community to offer educational opportunities for all.

  • Have a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • You have at least three (3) years of relevant experience in membership management, annual giving, or frontline fundraising.
  • Have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Have experience in event planning.
  • Have experience managing donor or membership databases and tracking revenue performance.
  • Have demonstrated success cultivating and stewarding donors.
  • Have strong writing skills, including experience drafting donor communications, proposals, and impact reports.
  • Have experience in budget creation and revenue forecasting.
  • Have a passion for storytelling, community engagement, and event planning.
  • Has the ability to successfully utilize basic computer hardware and software systems such as Microsoft Office Suite 365, Mac OS, Windows, SharePoint, as well as standard office equipment.
  • Can build and maintain effective working relationships with leadership, donors, members, and guests.
  • Are bilingual in English and Spanish.

Essential Functions

  • Membership & Annual Giving Strategy
  • Implement, oversee, and manage a multi-tier membership and loyalty program that attracts and serves families, donors, community members, and educators.
  • Collaborate and establish annual membership and individual giving revenue goals in partnership with leadership.
  • Oversee the management of current memberships utilizing creative strategies developed for acquisition, renewal, retention, upgrades, and stewardship.
  • Cultivate the acquisition of new membership opportunities.
  • Identify members with potential to become donors or gift prospects and create cultivation pathways.
  • Be present on key weekends and special events to engage guests on membership opportunities.
  • Donor Cultivation & Gift Management
  • Assist in building and analyzing a portfolio of individual donors and prospects; including annual fund donors, event sponsors, and gift prospects.
  • Conduct personalized outreach including calls, meetings, tours, and donor engagement opportunities.
  • Prepare and present donor proposals, gift agreements, and stewardship reports.
  • Partner with Development Leadership to support gift strategy and solicitations.
  • Monitor giving progress and provide recurring performance reports.
  • Engagement & Stewardship
  • Oversee delivery of membership benefits and donor recognition programs.
  • Plan and execute member appreciation events.
  • Develop mission-driven communications including renewal letters, appeals, newsletters, e-blasts, social media, and impact updates.
  • Ensure membership and giving opportunities are clearly communicated through the website, publications, signage, and front-line staff.
  • Integrate membership and philanthropic engagement into exhibits, special events, and museum programming.
  • Budget & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate donor and member records and produce recurring reports documenting revenue, retention rates, and donor engagement metrics.
  • Other Duties
  • Attend work as scheduled in accordance with the needs of the position.
  • Actively practice OSHA and La Nube’s health and safety protocols.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands/Occupational Hazards

This position is highly active. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:

  • Observe and react to the needs of guests, staff, volunteers, and community partners.
  • Move throughout the museum.
  • Manipulate, lift and/or move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasional bending/stooping, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Frequent sedentary work; sitting for extended periods of time and prolonged exposure to computer lighting.
  • Frequent use of the telephone.
  • May be required to work in loud areas with a many people talking over each other.
  • May be required to work outside events in harsh weather conditions such as extreme heat, cold, wind and rain.
  • Occasional exposure to irate individuals.
  • Occasional walking on uneven surfaces.
