About the Role
We are looking for a Lead Service Technician to join our team and take ownership of job sites while leading a small crew. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining kitchen grease exhaust systems, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering high-quality work for our customers.
This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who enjoys working in the field, leading others, and taking pride in getting the job done right.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a crew of Service Technicians on job sites
- Clean and maintain kitchen grease exhaust systems, including hoods, ductwork, filters, and exhaust fans
- Remove grease buildup through scraping and power washing
- Ensure all safety procedures are followed on and off the job site
- Transport, operate, and maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles
- Install and seal access panels as needed
- Complete required job documentation, including reports, photos, and service records
- Identify and report safety hazards or equipment issues
- Train and support new technicians on procedures and safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and work areas
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- At least 1 year of experience in a related field or service environment preferred
- Experience leading or training others is a plus
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with tools and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Requirements
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and on-call as needed
- Comfortable working on rooftops and in confined spaces
- Ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 75 lbs regularly, more with assistance)
- Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and physical environments
- Basic technology skills (smartphone, tablet, job reporting systems)
