This freelance role is ideal for an experienced data engineer specializing in web analytics and digital tracking systems. You will lead the implementation and optimization of analytics frameworks that provide accurate, actionable insights into user behavior across digital platforms. Working closely with engineering, product, and analytics teams, you will ensure tracking architecture is scalable, precise, and aligned with business objectives. This is a short-term, high-impact project requiring hands-on expertise with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and DataLayer structures. You will play a critical role in enabling data-driven decision-making, supporting performance analysis, and ensuring analytics integrity across digital products. The role is fully remote and requires collaboration in agile environments, making it ideal for a self-motivated, detail-oriented professional.

• Implement and maintain Google Analytics tracking across web platforms, including GA4.
• Configure and manage event tracking, conversion tracking, and tagging architecture using Google Tag Manager.
• Develop, maintain, and validate DataLayer structures to ensure accurate data capture.
• Support scalable web analytics instrumentation to align with digital platform architecture and reporting needs.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and analytics teams to resolve tracking issues and optimize data collection.
• Ensure data accuracy for performance analysis, reporting, and strategic decision-making.

• Strong hands-on experience with Google Analytics (Universal Analytics and GA4) and Google Tag Manager.
• Proven expertise in implementing event tracking, conversion tracking, and DataLayer structures.
• Deep understanding of web analytics instrumentation and user behavior tracking.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
• Self-starter with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working on short-term, high-intensity projects preferred.
• Must have own equipment and be able to commit to 100% allocation for the project duration.
• Availability for contract period: March 30 – April 10, totaling 64 hours.
