This role is responsible for leading a division of retail operations, driving sales growth, and cultivating high-performing teams across multiple regions. The Retail Divisional Vice President will partner with regional directors to implement corporate initiatives, improve operational efficiency, and ensure exceptional customer experiences. Success in this role requires strategic vision, strong business acumen, and the ability to coach and inspire leaders while building a culture of accountability and engagement. The position involves hands-on leadership, frequent travel across the division, and collaboration with corporate functions to maximize performance and profitability. The role is also focused on talent development, succession planning, and fostering inclusive, high-energy work environments.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of regional directors, providing coaching, direction, and performance feedback to achieve divisional goals
  • Ensure consistent execution of corporate policies, programs, and initiatives to deliver operational excellence and a superior customer experience
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth, increase profitability, and maximize store performance across the division
  • Build high-performing teams by hiring, mentoring, and retaining top talent while creating strong leadership pipelines
  • Partner with cross-functional corporate teams (e.g., HR, finance, supply chain, merchandising, loss prevention) to enhance business effectiveness
  • Oversee performance metrics, budgeting, and business analytics to identify opportunities and improve results
  • Maintain a visible presence in stores, providing guidance, feedback, and recognition to district and regional leaders

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; advanced degree preferred
  • 15+ years of retail experience, including 7+ years in multi-store or divisional management
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams across multiple locations
  • Strong strategic planning, organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching abilities
  • Demonstrated track record of driving sales growth and operational excellence
  • Proficiency with business analytics, standard office applications, and retail technology systems
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, primarily to major metropolitan areas
