Job Overview

Seaton Construction Group is seeking an experienced and proactive Safety Manager to lead and oversee the execution of our Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Program across industrial and commercial projects nationwide. Reporting directly to the Executive Team, this role is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, driving safety culture, managing risk, and protecting the well-being of our employees, subcontractors, and partners.

The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, deep regulatory knowledge, and the ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead oversight and execution of the Companys Safety, Security, Health, and Environmental Programs.

  • Develop and implement programs to ensure compliance with OSHA and other federal, state, and local safety regulations.

  • Perform operational risk assessments across company operations and active job sites.

  • Conduct safety and environmental training, including new hire orientation and quarterly safety meetings.

  • Provide technical health and safety guidance to project management teams.

  • Ensure job sites comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Manage compliance with third-party safety platforms including ISNetworld, Avetta, First Verify, and Veriforce.

  • Oversee and maintain the company drug testing program.

  • Manage and maintain DOT compliance requirements.

  • Report near-misses, accidents, and safety statistics in accordance with company policy.

  • Develop safety performance reports for executive leadership.

  • Analyze accident and training trends and recommend corrective action strategies.

  • Perform Job Hazard Analyses (JHA).

  • Lead accident and personal injury investigations, including root cause analysis and documentation.

  • Conduct safety audits in accordance with company policy.

  • Participate in Accident Review Boards for reportable incidents.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the construction industry as a Safety Manager.

  • Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Safety, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety.

  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA Construction & General Industry standards, ANSI, NIOSH, NFPA 70E, and NEC.

  • Expertise in risk assessment and risk management.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to lead meetings and conduct training for large groups.

  • Experience managing multiple priorities and working with diverse stakeholders.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard business software.

  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.

  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Certified Safety Professional (CSP).

    • OSHA Authorized Trainer Construction Industry.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and terrain.

  • Regular sitting, standing, walking, climbing ladders/stairs.

  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds.

  • Ability to travel for short periods to support job site activities nationwide.

  • Regular and predictable attendance required.
