About This Position

Description:

Horticultural Receiving and Maintenance Team Member (Seasonal)

  • Full-time and part-time available; Monday - Friday.
  • This is a seasonal position, typically lasting from date of hire through mid July (dates may fluctuate based on weather and business needs).
  • Starting pay: $15.50 - 17.50/hr. depending on experience.

Fort Collins Nursery is hiring a Horticultural Receiving and Maintenance Team Member to support the health, organization, and flow of plant inventory at our retail location. This is a perfect fit for someone who enjoys staying busy, working with their hands, and being outdoors with minimal customer interaction.

What You’ll Do

  • Work with team members to unload plant shipments safely and efficiently.
  • Tag and label plant inventory accurately.
  • Organize and stock retail spaces following merchandising guidelines.
  • Perform routine plant maintenance including watering, weeding, and deadheading.
  • Operate horticultural tools and equipment safely.
  • Help maintain safe and clean retail environments.
  • Assist with minor repairs including irrigation fixes, replacing shade cloth, and maintaining nursery fixtures.
Requirements:

What We’re Looking For

  • Genuine interest in plant care is highly preferred; previous knowledge is not required.
  • Ability to work physically and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Reliable transportation required.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.

Preferred Experience:

  • Nursery or horticulture experience.
  • Plant identification.
  • Outdoor or physically active work background.

Compensation and Benefits Offered
