**Seeking VMware Administrator to help maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot VMware vSphere environments to ensure high availability, performance and scalability across all virtualized infrastructure**
Work location: Texas Health Resources 612 E. Lamar Blvd, Arlington, Texas 76011
Work hours: Full Time Days (Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm) for 40 hrs/week

Here's What You Need
Education
• Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field or 4 years relevant experience in lieu of a degree. (Required)
Experience
• 3 years' experience with technical knowledge of Microsoft and Linux Operating Systems; or Active Directory Administration; or hypervisors like VMware, Hyper-V, KVM; or multi-cloud setup and configuration in a Private or Azure/AWS cloud environment. (Required) AND
• 2 years' experience with one or more of the following tools: VMware vSphere, VMware vSAN, VMware NSX/vRNI/NAPP, Automation Tools like VMware Aira Automation or Terraform, Kubernetes platforms running on VMware and IBM OpenShift, VMware Tanzu, Cylance, Tanium, Zerto, Ivanti, Active Directory OU structures, Microsoft and Quest GPO Mgmt, Microsoft Defender (Preferred)
Licenses and Certifications
• Microsoft certification (Preferred) And
• VMware certification (Preferred) And
• Any IT relevant certification (Preferred)

What You Will Do
Server Security:
• Develop and implement security policies and procedures that meet industry best practices and regulatory requirements (CIS, PCI, NIST, etc.) and incorporate the recommendations into all designs when appropriate.
• Develop, update, document Microsoft Defender and Tanium application policies to reduce the overall attack service on windows devices.
Project Support:
• Provide infrastructure consulting and guidance to various IT projects.
• Collaborate with application owners and architects to gather requirements necessary to deploy and micro-segment applications using VMware's NSX or Cisco SecureWorks platforms.
• Collaborate with architects to identify, evaluate, and recommend technical solutions across a multi-cloud platform.
• Design solutions within the context of the available infrastructure, considering scalability, availability, reliability, stability, security, and performance.
Server Core Active Directory/Virtualization/Maintenance/Updates:
• Review and periodically update virtualization environment documentation including configuration settings, backups, and diagrams.
• Develop, update, document and manage GPOs across complex multiple domain, network environment
• Create and maintain an Active Directory management documentation on as necessary basis..
Solution Architecture/Engineering/Strategy:
• Design and implement a highly available, enterprise class multi-cloud virtualized platform.
• Design, configure, and maintain NSX policies to reduce the security risk of east-west traffic between servers.
• Serve as coordinator with backup administrators to design, implement, and assist in maintaining enterprise disaster recovery solutions.
