The primary responsibility for this position will be to locate bore shots, create bore logs, and assist with other tasks that may be needed to complete the work.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Accurately identifying and locating route for directional drill operator
2. Completing all necessary paperwork.
3. Maintaining daily contact with utility managers, crews, homeowners, and contractors to discuss locate issues.
4. Receiving daily locates via computer/device.
5. Prioritizing your daily work by going through all locate requests to determine routing.
6. Reading and understanding provided maps to assist in identification of underground fiber optics.
7. Ensuring that customers and contractors suffer no damages or injuries due to mis-located fiber optics.
8. Responding to emergency calls in a timely manner and working periodic weekend or evening on-call rotation.
9. Providing a safe work environment by being knowledgeable of and enforcing all state, local, and federal safety regulations, and company safety policies.
10. Operating and monitoring company-owned vehicle by inspecting condition daily and maintaining a valid driver’s license.
11. Must be willing to work full-time, in an outdoor environment and in all weather conditions.
12. Must be willing to work flexible hours, including overtime.

1. 6 months experience Directional Drill Locating
2. CDL preferred but not required
3. Valid Driver’s License is required
4. Knowledge of underground utility construction
