As the Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the sales and operations efforts across multiple locations within your assigned region. This pivotal role requires a strong leader who can drive sales performance, maintain customer satisfaction, streamline operational processes, and ensure team accountability. You will collaborate closely with the operations and production teams to ensure smooth transactions from initial contact to project completion.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks (Essential Functions):
- Manage Regional Operations & Sales Pipelines:
Oversee and manage the Operations team, ensuring that each location’s sales pipeline is actively monitored and optimized for success. Ensure seamless coordination across teams to meet sales targets and operational efficiency. - Streamline Paperwork & Production Handoff:
Work with the Operations team to streamline all necessary paperwork and processes for a smooth handoff to production. Ensure that all documentation is accurate and efficiently transferred to expedite the completion of sales transactions. - Client Communication & Follow-ups:
Act as a key point of contact for clients, addressing any follow-up questions or concerns to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. Proactively engage with clients to address their needs and exceed expectations. - Sales Performance & KPI Achievement:
Ensure all benchmark KPI requirements are met, including maintaining an 80% demonstration rate, a 50% close rate, and achieving a 4500 NVPIL (Net Value per Install Location). Set clear performance goals for your team and regularly review progress. - Corporate Communication:
Serve as the liaison between your region and the corporate office. Address any inquiries from corporate teams regarding customers or operations, ensuring clear and timely communication. - Sales Meetings & Developmental Training:
Conduct weekly sales meetings to review performance, address challenges, and foster team development. Provide ongoing training and mentorship to sales and operations staff to enhance their skills and effectiveness. - Collaboration with Production & Customer Issue Resolution:
Work closely with the production team to schedule and complete job installations, communicate with customers, and resolve escalated issues. Track project funding and address any potential cancellations to minimize disruption and maximize customer satisfaction. - Instill Accountability:
Hold Operations Managers accountable for the performance of their respective locations. Ensure that each team member adheres to company standards and policies, promoting a culture of responsibility and high performance. - Other duties as assigned
Must Have
- Proven experience in sales management, preferably in a regional or multi-location capacity.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
- Solid understanding of sales KPIs and the ability to implement strategies to meet and exceed targets.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments, including operations, production, and corporate teams.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on streamlining processes and improving efficiencies.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
