The Executive Director of Business Analytics & Sales Operations (SOBA) leads a newly unified Center of Excellence that brings together Sales Operations, Master Data, and Enterprise Analytics. This leader establishes the operating model, governance, and infrastructure required to deliver a single source of truth, enterprise-wide reporting consistency, and scalable insights that empower teams across Commercial, Operations, Finance, and the broader organization. The role requires strategic vision, deep analytical and operational expertise, and the ability to drive cross-functional alignment while exemplifying our values of collaboration, innovation, resilience, and high standards of quality.
- Build and operationalize the SOBA Center of Excellence operating model, including intake structures, governance processes, service-level agreements, and cross-functional prioritization.
- Define and standardize enterprise KPI definitions, reporting methodologies, and analytical best practices across functions.
- Lead ownership of Salesforce master data, including definitions, hierarchy management, audits, and compliance, ensuring seamless data flow into Snowflake and business intelligence tools.
- Partner closely with IT and Data Engineering on data governance, lineage transparency, and enterprise data infrastructure.
- Oversee core Sales Operations processes, including territory design, account mapping, quarterly performance metrics, and commissions accuracy.
- Lead Salesforce training, adoption, and compliance standards for Commercial and Customer Service organizations.
- Guide enterprise analytics across Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Revenue Cycle Management, General & Administrative functions, and Finance.
- Lead the development, validation, and scaling of Tableau and Power BI dashboards that enable end users to translate data and insights into informed decisions.
- Partner with FP&A to establish and mature non-SEC reporting standards, ensuring data consistency and accuracy.
- Redesign and improve functional processes to reduce cycle times, eliminate errors, and support organizational efficiency.
- Lead change management, training, and communication efforts for new operating models, data governance programs, and analytics tools.
- Build and develop a high-performing team, creating a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and operational excellence.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership, providing insight-driven perspectives and ensuring enterprise alignment with SOBAs roadmap.
- Establish and deliver 612-month success milestones, including KPI dictionary implementation, standardized dashboards, master data governance, commissions stability, and SLA-driven analytics intake.
Required Qualifications
- 13+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Business Analytics, Enterprise Data, or a closely related function.
- Experience building or leading centralized analytics, data, or operational Centers of Excellence.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives and partnering with senior leaders across Commercial, Finance, Operations, and Technical teams.
- Advanced expertise in SQL and strong proficiency in Python, Snowflake, Tableau and/or Power BI, and Git-based workflows.
- Proven ability to redesign processes, streamline operations, and reduce errors through scalable systems and governance.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analytical concepts into clear business narratives for senior audiences.
- Experience managing teams, developing talent, and fostering a culture consistent with organizational values of collaboration, innovation, resilience, and accountability.
- Ability to lead through ambiguity and drive clarity, structure, and prioritization in complex environments.
- Bachelor's degree in business, analytics, data science, engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within centralized laboratory services, diagnostic testing, or related life sciences environments.
- Familiarity with end-to-end data governance frameworks, data quality management, and architecture strategies.
- Background leading analytics for operational areas such as supply chain, customer service, or revenue cycle management.
- Demonstrated success implementing enterprise dashboards and KPI frameworks across diverse stakeholder groups.

For candidates based in our San Diego office, the salary is $275,600 - $319,000 per year.
For candidates working remote (US), the salary is $249,000 - $281,600 per year.
The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience, skillset, geographic location, industry, education, etc. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
