About This Position

Description:

As we embark on an ambitious growth strategy, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our executive team.

The COO will play a pivotal role in driving the company’s growth strategy, both organically and through acquisitions. This role will oversee all operational aspects of the company, ensuring efficiency, quality, and profitability. The COO will manage key departments.

The ideal candidate is currently a Chief Operating Officer, President, GM, or acting CEO with complete P&L responsibility with a company/division having revenue of $50m-$100m. The COO will be accountable for executing the primary operational objectives of the company and will report directly to the CEO. A strong candidate will balance operational business experience and OPEX management within an organizational culture that is Christian-based and family-values focused.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company’s growth objectives
  • Lead initiatives to drive organic growth and new company acquisition
  • Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to shape the company’s strategic direction

Operational Management

  • Oversee operations (domestic and international) to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in a high-customization, job shop manufacturing environment
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives across all departments
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements

Departmental Oversight

  • Manage and mentor department heads
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the organization
  • Ensure alignment of departmental goals with overall company objectives

Financial Performance

  • Work with the CFO to manage budgeting, financial planning, and reporting
  • Monitor financial performance and implement measures to achieve financial targets
  • Support due diligence, capital raising, and integration processes for acquisitions

Customer Focus

  • Ensure integration of sales, manufacturing, and sourcing to meet customer expectations across hospitality, commercial, and residential markets
  • Oversee the development and implementation of sales strategies to drive revenue growth
  • Lead product management initiatives to meet market demands and enhance the product portfolio

  • Develop strategies to increase revenue through new markets, products, or services
  • Implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality
  • Focus on improving profit margins through efficient operations and strategic pricing

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical engineering or other hard science; MBA required
  • Proven experience as a COO or similar operational role within a high-customization, job shop manufacturing environment
  • Prior experience working at companies with $50-$100 million in revenue
  • Possesses a strong mechanical aptitude
  • Strong understanding of luxury interior products and market dynamics
  • Demonstrated success in driving growth through organic and acquisition strategies
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong financial acumen and experience working with financial metrics
  • High organizational and project management skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
