About This Position
The Industrial Sales Account Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by selling the full portfolio of the client's industrial service capabilities to both existing and prospective customers. This includes field operations, maintenance and repair services for rotating equipment, reciprocating compressor services, engine services, aftermarket parts, and digital solution offerings.
This role owns sales performance for assigned named accounts and a defined geographic territory. Success is achieved by expanding share within existing customers through consultative selling of integrated solutions, while also developing new customer relationships. The position requires a balance of strategic account planning and hands‑on execution in a B2B industrial environment, with a strong focus on customer acquisition, penetration, and long‑term retention.
Key ResponsibilitiesNew Business Development- Research and qualify prospective accounts, identifying key decision‑makers, purchasing processes, and buying behaviors
- Develop account‑specific sales strategies based on customer needs, operational challenges, and business objectives
- Position and recommend appropriate services and solutions through a consultative selling approach
- Execute the full sales cycle, including customer presentations, pricing negotiations, and contract execution
- Coordinate internally to support proposal development, technical alignment, and timely deal closure
- Provide regular reporting and pipeline updates to sales leadership
- Manage and grow assigned accounts in alignment with overall business objectives
- Identify opportunities to expand service offerings and increase wallet share within existing customers
- Maintain strong consultative relationships with customer stakeholders to support renewals and long‑term partnerships
- Lead proposal development efforts, including scope definition, pricing strategy, and internal approvals
- Negotiate commercial terms and close agreements that deliver value for both the client and customer
- Maintain accurate and timely CRM updates, including opportunity status, competitive intelligence, visit reports, and customer feedback
- Forecast order timing and support sales planning activities
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with operations, engineering, and service teams to ensure customer commitments are met
- Bachelor's degree from a four‑year college or Associate degree from a two‑year college
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience within petrochemical, refinery, gas gathering, or related industrial sectors
- Proven experience managing a territory and generating self‑sourced leads
- 5+ years of experience selling integrated products and service solutions
- English: Fluent (spoken and written)
- Spanish: A plus
- Experience selling aftermarket products and services within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, or Gas Gathering industries
- Strong working knowledge of electric‑ and gas‑driven reciprocating compressor equipment
- Solid understanding of industrial safety culture and jobsite requirements
- Ability to develop, manage, and interpret technical quotes and commercial proposals
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM tools (MS Dynamics or similar preferred)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Excellent organizational, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team‑based environment
