About This Position
Tailored Management is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead Human Resources operations supporting our global workforce across the United States, Canada, Philippines, India, and Costa Rica.
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Human Resources, this role serves as the operational leader for HR programs and services, partnering closely with executive leadership to support a growing and globally distributed workforce.
The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing core HR functions including HR operations, compliance, team leadership, and payroll and benefits administration, while ensuring a high-quality employee experience across the organization.
This role will manage 2–3 direct reports and plays a critical role in executing HR initiatives that support the company’s people strategy, operational excellence, and culture.
This hybrid position is based in Columbus, Ohio, offering flexibility while maintaining close collaboration with the leadership team.
What You'll Do
HR Leadership and Team Management

What You'll Do
HR Leadership and Team Management
- Lead and develop a team of 2–3 HR team members responsible for HR operations and employee support.
- Provide coaching, performance feedback, and mentorship to ensure high-quality HR service delivery.
- Assign and prioritize HR operational work across the team.
- Establish clear service standards and ensure timely response to employee and leadership inquiries.
HR Operations and Compliance
- Oversee HR processes and HRIS administration across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, and employee records management.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and applicable international employment laws.
- Manage employee leave administration including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and state leave programs.
- Maintain and update HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and operational consistency.
Employee Relations and Conflict Management
- Serve as a trusted HR advisor to leaders and employees on Tier 1 and 2 employee relations matters.
- Support leaders in addressing workplace concerns, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Facilitate difficult conversations and help resolve workplace conflicts through mediation and conflict management strategies.
- Coach managers on handling sensitive workplace issues with professionalism and fairness.
- Ensure consistent and compliant application of HR policies.
Payroll and Benefits Administration
- Oversee payroll operations team to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing and service.
- Oversee benefits operations team, including support of broker and vendor partnerships, employee enrollment, plan changes, and benefits communications to ensure effective management of employee benefits programs.
HR Strategy and Projects
- Lead HR initiatives and projects that improve employee experience and operational efficiency.
- Utilize strong project management skills to plan, prioritize, and execute HR initiatives across the organization.
- Partner with leadership on performance management, engagement initiatives, and workforce planning.
- Analyze HR metrics and workforce data to support leadership decision-making.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, with demonstrated expertise in HR operations, employee relations, and overseeing payroll and benefits administration.
- Experience supporting organizations with 200+ employees. Multi-state workforce experience a plus.
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills are required, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive initiatives to timely completion.
- Strong conflict management and coaching experience is required, with the ability to navigate employee relations matters and guide leaders through difficult conversations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and partner effectively with employees and senior leadership.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
- HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) is a plus.
