About This Position
This position supports the collection, planning, analysis, and reporting of facility data for more than 14 million square feet of state‑owned and leased properties. The Facilities Planning Analyst works closely with OA‑FMDC leadership, other state agencies, and national and regional organizations involved in managing large portfolios of buildings and real property assets.
The role is responsible for developing, analyzing, and maintaining facility and real estate datasets; producing customized reports for specialized building and real‑estate projects; and delivering standardized reporting and ad hoc data requests. This work provides critical insights that support strategic planning and informed decision‑making across the state’s facility portfolio.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including internal teams, state agencies, state officials, contractors, and the public.
- Seek and incorporate feedback to support continuous improvement, optimizing resources to reduce costs and enhance performance.
- Partner with state agencies and internal teams to develop and maintain a strong planning framework, prioritize short‑ and long‑term capital asset needs, prepare five‑year master plans, complete project requests, and implement funding strategies that align with strategic goals.
- Contribute to the development of annual capital improvement (CI) project priorities, job order contracts (JOC), construction services projects, and emergency project plans.
- Prepare, organize, and manage project documentation, including reports, progress summaries, and records.
- Analyze data related to tenant and agency experiences to identify trends, needs, and improvement opportunities.
- Transform raw data into clear, meaningful customer reports using charts, graphs, and other creative visualizations to effectively tell the story behind the data.
- Build and maintain dashboards that reflect services and agency experiences in state-owned or leased buildings, ensuring data accuracy across multiple data sources.
- Promote dashboard tools to targeted agencies, strengthening awareness, engagement, and feedback loops to support timely, data‑driven decision making.
- A bachelor's degree, or five (5) or more years of professional experience analyzing and reporting statistical data. Strong time management, organizational, communication, and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities. Knowledge of facilities management, project management, and facilities planning principles.
- Proficiency in asset management and strategic planning, with the ability to evaluate benefit, cost, and risk to recommend efficient solutions.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Pro.
- Experience using data visualization platforms.
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and determine reporting requirements.
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and reporting abilities.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and complete tasks with urgency and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Prep Builder, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with data warehouses, writing queries, developing reports and presentations, and using SQL.
- Experience with Qualtrics.
