This role is ideal for a seasoned life insurance professional with strong business development acumen. As a Private Client Manager, you will guide advisory firm clients through the full lifecycle of life insurance solutions, from case design and underwriting to in-force placement. You will also develop and manage a pipeline of advisory firms, building relationships, educating partners, and scaling a repeatable acquisition process. The role blends technical expertise, strategic partnership building, and client-facing execution, offering significant ownership and the ability to shape a growing function. Success in this role is measured by building strong partnerships, expanding your book of business, and delivering exceptional service to both advisors and their clients. This is a highly collaborative environment where you will work cross-functionally while driving independent execution.
Counsel advisory firm clients on life insurance, including policy reviews, case design, underwriting, and placement.
Develop and manage the firm acquisition pipeline, identifying and onboarding new advisory partners.
Serve as a trusted resource for generalist advisors, providing educational content and guidance on life insurance and planning concepts.
Represent the company at industry events and build relationships across the RIA and wealth management community.
Collaborate with executive leadership on early partnerships and progressively take ownership of deal cycles.
Design, refine, and scale outreach and onboarding workflows for firm partners.
Work cross-functionally with marketing, product, and operations to ensure seamless partner experiences.
Requirements:
7+ years of experience in private client services, advisory firm partnerships, or a relationship-driven financial services role.
Strong technical knowledge of life insurance products, underwriting, case design, and policy placement.
Proven experience building and managing a book of business or partnership portfolio.
Deep understanding of the independent advisor landscape and platform evaluation criteria.
Excellent communication skills, with credibility in meetings with RIA principals and senior advisors.
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to contribute to process design and scale new initiatives.
Familiarity with wealth management and financial planning as it relates to life insurance distribution.
Benefits:
Competitive base salary: $100,000 – $125,000 with OTE up to $200,000.
