We are seeking a highly analytical and collaborative Tax & Treasury Associate to elevate our finance operations. Reporting to the Head of Global Tax & Treasury, this pivotal role goes beyond day-to-day transaction processing, placing you as the primary contact for global tax compliance and reporting, intercompany transactions, and cash management.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Tax:

  • Manage and prepare indirect tax filings for the US and six foreign subsidiaries, including monthly sales/use tax and VAT returns.
  • Lead coordination of information requests from service providers for preparation of corporate tax filings in the US and all foreign jurisdictions.
  • Manage the accounting and invoices for intercompany services and other cross-charges.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for tax-related accounts and intercompany current accounts.
  • Assist with corporate governance matters, including annual reporting and responding to government notices as needed.
  • Assist with automation and optimization efforts for tasks such as fixed-asset depreciation and global indirect taxation.
  • Other duties as assigned to meet organizational requirements.

Treasury:

  • Assist the Global Treasury Manager with daily cash management, including initiating payments, addressing inquiries, and coordinating with the bank.
  • Record journal entries in NetSuite for non-A/P cash transactions such as tax payments, bank fees, and manual wires.
  • Assist with the transition of the company’s global travel and expense reimbursement process to the overseas accounting team.
  • Other duties as assigned to meet organizational requirements.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
  • 5+ years of corporate finance or treasury experience.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, proactive, and is a self-starter.
  • Sense of urgency with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to excellence.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Potential base salary range: $75,000 to $85,000. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
  • Travel: Quarterly
  • This role is eligible for remote US-based (work-from-home) locations. Chicago-based candidates would work in a hybrid capacity from the Accertify HQ located in Itasca, IL.
