As a leader on our Recreation team, you will help shape the guest experience at our beautiful outdoor pool while developing your leadership skills in a Forbes-rated resort.

Role Overview:

As a Resort Pool Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily pool operations, supporting team members, ensuring safety standards, and delivering exceptional guest service. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leadership, hospitality, and working in an outdoor luxury environment.

Your professionalism, attention to detail, and leadership presence will help ensure our guests enjoy a safe, relaxing, and memorable pool experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Operations

• Supervise lifeguards and pool attendants during daily operations
• Assist with scheduling, onboarding, and training pool team members
• Provide coaching and feedback to support team success
• Oversee daily opening and closing procedures
• Ensure pool areas, cabanas, and guest spaces remain organized and guest-ready

Guest Experience

• Deliver warm, professional service to all guests
• Maintain a strong leadership presence on the pool deck
• Resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly
• Enforce pool policies while maintaining a positive guest experience
• Partner with Recreation, Food & Beverage, and Spa teams to support service excellence

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all safety protocols and emergency procedures are followed
• Respond to incidents calmly and professionally
• Conduct routine safety inspections
• Maintain required certifications and ensure team compliance

Resort Standards

• Uphold Salamander Middleburg luxury service standards
• Maintain professional appearance and grooming standards
• Support special events and seasonal programming
• Assist with maintaining Forbes service expectations

Qualifications:

• Previous supervisory experience in recreation, pools, or hospitality preferred
• Lifeguard, CPR/AED and First Aid certification required (or ability to obtain before start)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm in fast-paced environments
• Strong attention to detail
• Guest service mindset
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
• Ability to respond to emergency situations if needed
