Boulon Brasserie is currently hiring a Bar Prep team member to join our beverage team.
This role is essential to the daily success of our bar program and is ideal for someone with a culinary or bar background who thrives in structured, detail-driven prep work.

Boulon Brasserie is a French-inspired brasserie offering thoughtfully executed cuisine, a curated wine program, and elevated craft cocktails rooted in classic technique and modern execution. Our bar program relies on precision, consistency, and preparation — and this position is the backbone of that success.

Job Summary
The Bar Prep Specialist is responsible for executing all bar mise-en-place and production needed for daily service. This includes preparing batches, syrups, cordials, infusions, tinctures, garnishes, and specialty cocktail components according to established recipes and standards. This role works independently during morning hours and ensures the bar team is fully set up for a successful service day.

Schedule:
  • 5 days per week
  • Morning shift only - 6am - 12pm
  • This is a NON-TIPPED position.
Key Responsibilities
  • Produce house-made syrups, cordials, shrubs, tinctures, and infusions
  • Execute advanced prep techniques including fat-washing, milk clarification, and foams
  • Prepare all bar batches for house specialty drinks
  • Prepare, cut, and organize all garnishes to spec
  • Label, date, and store all products following health and safety standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient prep workspace
  • Monitor par levels and communicate prep needs to bar leadership
  • Ensure consistency, quality, and accuracy across all prepared items
  • Set the bar team up for success by completing prep thoroughly and on time
This role does not involve guest interaction or service during operating hours and is focused entirely on preparation and production.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Previous culinary, barista, bar, or beverage prep experience strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of cocktail production techniques and ingredients, or the willingness to learn
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes precisely
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Clear communication skills with bar leadership and management
  • Ability to understand, speak, read, and follow instructions in English
  • Must be able to obtain food safety and responsible alcohol service certifications
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions including reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to approximately 25 lbs
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours during a single shift, while possibly navigating ramps, stairs, and elevators.
  • Comfortable working in a kitchen and bar prep environment
