Autonomous Tank Systems Technician at SUPERIOR TANK COMPANY INC – Bakersfield, California

Superior Tank Co. is building the next generation of water infrastructure. As an Autonomous Tank Systems Technician, you will help install, monitor, and maintain smart tank systems that use robotics, sensors, and predictive diagnostics to improve field performance and safety.

This role works across field operations, fabrication support, and digital monitoring tools. The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-minded, comfortable with technology, and excited about the future of industrial construction.

• Assist with installation and startup of smart tank monitoring systems
• Support field deployment of automated tools, sensors, and connected equipment
• Perform routine inspections on tank systems and related components
• Troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues in the field
• Record inspection data, maintenance notes, and project updates in company systems
• Partner with operations, engineering, and safety teams to ensure smooth project execution
• Follow all company safety procedures and site-specific requirements
• Help test and improve new field technologies as they are introduced

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in construction, industrial maintenance, manufacturing, utilities, or related field
• Comfortable using tablets, mobile apps, and digital work systems
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed
